Adapted to the current asbestos legislation!

WHAT DO YOU GET IN THIS ASBESTOS TRAINING SIMPLE OPERATIONS?

The use of asbestos has long been prohibited, yet many buildings still contain asbestos.

ASBESTOS REMEDIATION

Everyone is fully aware of the dangers of asbestos. The use of asbestos has long been prohibited, yet many buildings in our country still contain asbestos. It is extremely important for public health that these buildings are remediated as quickly as possible.

That is why it is important that we pay attention to asbestos removal. In order to do this professionally, it is important that skilled workers possess skills such as recognising asbestos and asbestos removal.

ASBESTOS TRAINING

The asbestos training is aimed not only specifically at workers and skilled professionals who demolish and remove asbestos or asbestos-containing materials, but also at site managers responsible for supervising workers assigned to asbestos removal.

During this course, the workers and site managers learn to recognise possible dangers, assess them and then act appropriately. Of course, asbestos exposure must be avoided at all times.

ASBESTOS REFRESHER TRAINING

The content and duration of this training are laid down by law. In the first part of the asbestos course, all aspects of asbestos exposure and its prevention are covered. In this module of the course, attention is given to the relevant legislation and the responsibilities of workers, employers and site managers alike. This way you learn more about the health risks of asbestos exposure, asbestos-containing products and operations to be avoided that lead to asbestos exposure.

Next, we address the practical aspects when encountering asbestos. Simple operations often work best, but are generally still insufficiently known to the average worker deployed for asbestos removal. Respecting the safety rules and accurately measuring the asbestos content are the key to preventing health risks.

Finally, we would also mention that the knowledge concerning asbestos, asbestos removal, asbestos exposure and recognising asbestos must be maintained in the long term. That is why this course covering all asbestos-related aspects is offered annually. It is also legally required to attend this refresher training every year.

Since 16 March 2006, a Royal Decree has been in force that requires everyone who comes into sporadic or regular contact with asbestos to attend an appropriate training.

This training is aligned with the current Belgian asbestos legislation and is aimed at workers who exclusively remove asbestos or asbestos-containing materials via the technique of simple operations, where the risk of asbestos fibres being released is limited.

The course asbestos simple operations provides workers with the necessary knowledge and skills regarding prevention, safety and correct working methods.

The content of this training is laid down by law and has been adapted to the RD of 19 December 2025!
