During the dismantling of a
crane
the structure suddenly toppled over.
One of the
crane arms
ended up lying across the roadway. The
crane operator
who was still on the crane,
fell
down.
A passing trucker could no longer avoid the crane arm. There followed a
hard
collision
.
Unclear circumstances
There is still much uncertainty about the fall:
Did the victim fall because the crane tipped over or after the collision with the truck?
The trucker was not injured. The crane operator was taken to hospital with serious injuries and in critical condition.
