Good TIG welders are in high demand!
WHAT DOES THIS TIG WELDING TRAINING COVER?
TIG welding is an art that requires mastering a very specific process.
In practice, the TIG welding technique is widely used for welding stainless steel and aluminium.
In TIG welding the heat is created by drawing a plasma arc between a non-consumable tungsten electrode and the workpiece. The filler wire is then fed into the weld pool by hand.
TIG welding delivers the highest weld quality, but it is not a fast or simple process!
- Safety and responsibilities
- Material behaviour
- Constructions, execution and weld defects
- Setting up the welding equipment
- Welding positions
- Flat welding (PA)
- Horizontal fillet weld (PB)
- Horizontal and vertical welding (PC)
- Application: stainless steel, aluminium
This training teaches you the essentials of TIG welding in a hands-on way. No welding experience yet? Take our welding techniques training to learn the basic techniques. Or choose one of our other specific courses: stainless steel welding, steel welding or MIG/MAG welding.
ACTIONS, NOT WORDS!
- One or more days of tailored hands-on training
- 4-day training
- Every participant receives a certificate of attendance
Frequently asked questions
What is TIG welding used for?
TIG welding is mainly used for stainless steel and aluminium and delivers the highest weld quality. It is a precise process using a non-consumable tungsten electrode.
Do I need welding experience?
Experience is a plus but not required. Without experience, first take our welding techniques training.
How long is the TIG training?
The training is set up as a tailored 4-day hands-on course. Every participant receives a certificate of attendance.
