About the role

Praxis Training, the reference in hands-on safety training, is looking for additional practical trainers to strengthen our growing team. Do you have a passion for safety and practical experience in your field, and do you want to share your knowledge in an engaging way? Then you are the person we are looking for.

Profile — who are we looking for?

  • Practical field experience: craftsmen over “schoolteachers”.
  • Lots of practical experience, but not as a trainer? Welcome! You get the chance to sit in on training internally.
  • People over 50 and 60 are encouraged to apply.
  • Modest: we are not looking for trainers who overwhelm you with their knowledge.
  • Strong safety awareness; safety certificates are a plus.
  • Honest, responsible and problem-solving.
  • Enjoyment in sharing knowledge, with participants and fellow trainers alike.

What can you expect?

  • Flexibility: you determine your availability and workload.
  • Lots of variety: tailored assignments, from 2 days a month to 4 days a week.
  • A varied customer portfolio.
  • Free choice of status: temporary contract or freelance collaboration.
  • Perfectly combinable with another job, self-employment, pension or sick leave.
  • Internal training and guidance.
  • Working in your own region (freedom to choose distances).

In which safety domains?

  • Logistics: forklift, reach truck, stacker, pallet truck.
  • Earthmoving: excavators, wheel loader, telehandler …
  • Work at height: aerial platform, scissor lift, scaffolding.
  • Lifting techniques: overhead crane, tower crane, slinging loads … (high priority).
  • General safety: first aid, VCA, ergonomics, BA4-BA5, asbestos removal.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a trainer already?

No! We are mainly looking for people with practical experience. You can be guided internally to master the trainer role.

How many days per week must I be available?

You choose that yourself. Some trainers work a few days a month, others several days a week.

Can I combine this with another job or pension?

Absolutely. This role is ideal as extra income or during retirement.

Which languages matter?

Besides Dutch, French and English, we also look for multilingual trainers or interpreters in languages such as Turkish, Arabic, Polish, Romanian, etc. Do you speak a foreign language well but have no safety experience yet? You can start as an interpreter alongside an experienced trainer.
