WHAT DOES THIS LOADER CRANE TRAINING COVER?

A loader crane is used both for loading and unloading and for light lifting work. In this training, you learn to operate the telescopic arm mounted on your truck safely and precisely.

LOADER CRANE TRAINING

A loader crane is a versatile vehicle. This mobile equipment is used both for varied tasks such as loading and unloading and for lighter lifting work; you can thus lift not-too-heavy loads. Operating a loader crane does, however, require the necessary knowledge and skills.

That is why we organise a specific loader crane course aimed at construction professionals who will soon work with this type of crane, as well as at people who have already had on-the-job training but not yet a loader crane training. In this training, you learn not only to operate the crane safely, but also to manoeuvre the telescopic arm mounted on your truck with the necessary precision.

Your safety and that of your colleagues depend on the stability and balance of the mobile equipment. We think in particular of the absent or incorrect positioning of the outriggers. If this happens, both your load and your truck can tip over. Taking a loader crane course familiarises you with these possible risks. Likewise, it is very important to sling the load correctly so that it cannot come loose and fall.

OPERATING A LOADER CRANE

Operating a loader crane is learned during the loader crane training. Having experience at the start of the course is not very important: every loader crane operator is welcome! Both beginners and more experienced operators can register.

The attitude of the candidates is, however, important. Operating a loader crane comes with a certain responsibility.

LOADER CRANE CERTIFICATE

Those who pass after taking the loader crane course immediately receive their official loader crane certificate! Experienced operators have the option of choosing our new 1-hour loader crane competence test. They therefore do not have to complete the full training to obtain their official certificate.

The advantage of taking an official loader crane training can be summarised as follows: you not only learn to work safely with a loader crane, but after this training you also do it faster and more efficiently. The course thus actively contributes to accident prevention and the safety of all workers in the workplace.

Your safety depends on stability and balance. Incorrectly positioning the outriggers can cause both the load and the truck to tip over. It is also very important to sling the load correctly so that it does not come loose and fall.

Experienced or not? Every loader crane operator is welcome in this training! Those who pass then receive their official certificate! Experienced operators choose our new 1-hour loader crane competence test.

• A full day of training lasts 7 hours as standard, unless otherwise stated
• One or more days of tailored hands-on training
• Lots of experience (1 day) / little experience (2 days) / no experience (3 to 5 days)
• Theoretical introduction (30%) with plenty of practical exercises (70%)
• Continuous assessment and competence test
• Every participant who passes receives the official LOADER CRANE certificate
• The certificate is valid for 5 years and is registered in the Normec Praxis certificate portal
