Legal text
“Self-propelled mobile work equipment may only be driven by workers who have received adequate training for driving it safely.” The decree applies to all forms of mobility (road, rail, wheels, rollers or tracks) and contains no limitations of scope. The duration and content of the training are not specified — in practice we organise training tailored to your outcome.
“A safety function is any workstation where motor vehicles, cranes, overhead cranes or lifting devices are operated, insofar as this may endanger the safety and health of other workers. Workers performing a safety function must hold a certificate of medical fitness.”
“It is prohibited to have young people perform dangerous work, such as operating excavating or lifting equipment. Even adult student workers may not drive motorised transport equipment. Students from age 16 may, however, operate non-stacking transport equipment with low lifting height and an accompanying driver, provided they have adequate training and limited speed.”
