Working at height: individual rescue techniques

Rescue colleagues in distress!

HOW TO RESCUE AT HEIGHT WITH ROPES?

During work at height you are inevitably exposed to a possible fall.

With a safety device, in the event of a fall you end up immobilised, hanging in your harness. If you are unconscious, a life-threatening shock develops within a few minutes, also known as harness suspension trauma or suspension trauma .

In this training you learn, as a first responder, how to free a colleague in distress and how to handle the victim.

We train a few simple and fast rescue techniques and how to move on a double rope in accordance with Belgian legislation.

It is of paramount importance that the individual skills are mastered before carrying out an individual rescue!

  • Legislation and responsibilities
  • Simple and fast rescue techniques
  • Moving on a double rope
  • Making anchor points
  • Basic knots
  • Using simple hoists

NO WORDS, JUST ACTIONS!

  • A full day of training lasts 7 hours by default, unless stated otherwise
  • Theoretical introduction (30%) with practical exercises in the equipped training area (70%)
