Save your back: today and later!
WHAT DOES THIS ERGONOMICS FOR THE SOCIAL SECTOR TRAINING COVER?
Lifting, carrying and pushing are part of very many tasks in a social workshop. It matters when sorting, packing, assembling or boxing. Both for warehouse work and green maintenance.
Incorrect lifting is an important cause of back pain, neck complaints and workplace accidents.
With the right technique and posture, you keep your body healthy. You not only avoid pain now, but also back complaints later!
In this training, we learn, step by step and with plenty of practical exercises:
- Lifting, carrying and moving correctly in a back-friendly way
- Avoiding overload of the back, neck and shoulders
- Recognising risk situations in the workplace and addressing them in time
This is how we go about it:
We work calmly, in accessible language, with plenty of visuals and repetition, and adapt the pace to the group.
We first look together at why the body becomes overloaded. Then we practise with the right aids and the right lifting and carrying techniques.
Through simple exercises, we learn to move well and adopt a correct working posture.
