Delivered in one of our partner centres in Flanders.
The duration of training and examination is fixed according to the Besacc guidelines
In this safety watch course you learn what to do in case of emergency during work in a confined space. This includes not only raising the alarm, but also initiating the first-line intervention.
To be able to follow this training you must be in possession of a non-expired diploma IS-081: "Working with independent (autonomous and non-autonomous) respiratory protection.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 18 years old
- The participant must be in possession of a non-expired diploma IS-081
- Have a declaration of medical fitness
- The participant has a sufficient command of Dutch
- Participants bring their own autonomous independent respiratory protection
- A surcharge is applied for the rental of respiratory protection

- Every participant who passes receives the Besacc-VCA diploma IS-007: safety watch
- The diploma is personal and states the high-risk task for which the participant has passed
- The diploma is valid for 3 years and is registered online at https://csm-examen.be
- The diploma is only issued if the participant is already in possession of a valid IS-081 diploma.

"Without prejudice to the provisions of articles 624 and 625, which apply to the pits, containers and tanks of storage facilities for flammable liquids, the following precautions must be taken when workers have to enter or remain in wells, rainwater tanks, pits, reservoirs, vats, underground control stations, fermentation rooms and other similar places:
- Protection against the risks of intoxication or asphyxiation
- Protection against the risks of fire and explosion.
- Supervision and possible rescue of the workers concerned." (ARAB art.53)
