WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THIS AV-013 MOBILE CRANE TRAINING?

For the AV-013 mobile crane diploma, you've come to the right place at Normec Praxis!

The IS diplomas are essential in the petrochemical industry and port companies.

The training can take place at your location or in one of our partner centres in Flanders.

The number of training days depends on your experience and competencies.

If you pass, you receive the official AV-013 diploma!

If your sector or client does not require this specific diploma, then follow our standard mobile crane training or mobile crane certification.

Operate effectively and safely a mobile crane!

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience or not? Every mobile crane operator is welcome in this training!
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Identification possible by means of an identity card, passport or driving licence
  • Have a declaration of medical fitness
  • The participant has command of the language of the examinations

TARGET GROUP

Every future operator of mobile cranes on tracks, truck-mounted, rough-terrain crane or road-terrain crane.

Every employee who must be able to operate cranes safely under construction-site conditions.

OBJECTIVE

Gain theoretical background and practical experience relating to profession-specific methods and risk tasks.

  • Holding a safety function
  • Learning risk-reducing actions
  • Gaining sufficient insight into the possibilities and limitations of the equipment
  • Knowing the legal provisions

NO WORDS, BUT DEEDS!

  • A full training day lasts 7 hours as standard, unless otherwise stated
  • One or more days of tailor-made practical training
  • A lot of experience (1 day) / little experience (2 days) / no experience (3 to 5 days)
  • Theory exam + practical exam
  • Every successful participant receives the official MOBILE CRANE certificate
  • The certificate is valid for 5 years and is registered in the Normec Praxis certificate portal
  • Every successful participant receives the Besacc-VCA diploma AV-013: working with a mobile crane
  • The diploma is personal and states the high-risk task for which the participant has passed
  • The diploma is valid for 5 years and is registered online at http://besacc.epyc.eu/diploma

THEORY ASSESSMENT TERMS

  • Knowing the content of the safety function
  • Knowing what work permits are and being able to interpret and comply with them
  • Knowing the standards and legislation regarding regulations and inspections
  • Having knowledge of the preparatory works prior to the deployment of a mobile crane
  • Knowledge of the various types of mobile crane, their components and the vital safety devices
  • Having knowledge of maintenance, inspection and daily supervision of the equipment
  • Knowing rigging materials, centre of gravity and weight of loads
  • Knowing the rules for moving mobile cranes
  • Recognising, assessing and, where necessary, remedying malfunctions
  • Knowing the standard safety measures when using mobile cranes
  • Having knowledge of the measures upon completion of the works
  • Having knowledge of the environmental aspects
  • Knowing communication on the sites

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT TERMS

  • Being able to carry out practical preparations prior to the deployment of a mobile crane
  • Being able to carry out inspection of the mobile crane
  • Being able to sling various loads using various methods
  • Being able to carry out lifting operations; being able to control the movements
  • Being able to read load charts
  • Being able to move mobile cranes
  • Being able to carry out daily maintenance
  • Being able to recognise malfunctions
  • Being able to recognise risks and take control measures
  • Being able to complete the works and store the equipment properly
  • Being able to prepare the mobile crane for transport

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

Mobile work equipment with their own drive may only be operated by workers who have received adequate training for the safe operation of this work equipment (Codex book IV, title 3)
A safety function is considered to be any workstation where work equipment is used, where motor vehicles, cranes, overhead cranes, hoisting devices of any kind whatsoever are operated (Codex book I, title 4)
The purpose of safety and health signalling is to draw attention, in a quick and easily understandable manner, to objects, activities and situations that may cause certain hazards. (Codex book III, title 6, annexes 1-9)
