WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS AV-017 TOWER CRANE TRAINING?
For the AV-017 tower crane diploma you have come to the right place at Normec Praxis!
The IS diplomas are essential in the petrochemical industry and port companies.
Delivery can take place on your premises or at one of our partner centres in Flanders.
The number of training days depends on your experience and competences.
If you pass, you receive the official AV-017 diploma!
If your sector or client does not require this specific diploma, then follow our standard tower crane training or the tower crane competence test: certificate in max. 1 hour.
You not only learn to work safely with a tower crane,
but after this training you also do it faster and more efficiently.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Experience or not? Every crane operator is welcome!
- The participant must be at least 18 years old
- Identification possible by means of an identity card, passport or driving licence
- Hold a certificate of medical fitness
- The participant has command of the language of the examinations

TARGET GROUP
Every operator of a tower crane.
OBJECTIVE
The aim of the training is to handle a tower crane more safely and more efficiently.
ASSESSMENT TERMS

- Checklist and basic maintenance
- Load diagram and lifting equipment
- Operation and handling
- Lifting and moving
- Communication and signalling
- Tips for increasing efficiency
NO WORDS, BUT DEEDS!
- A full day of training lasts 7 hours as standard, unless stated otherwise
- One or more days of tailored practical training
- A lot of experience (1 day) / little experience (2 days) / no experience (3 to 5 days)
- Theory examination + practical examination
- Every participant who passes receives the official TOWER CRANE certificate
- The certificate is valid for 5 years and is registered in the Normec Praxis certificates portal
- Every participant who passes receives the Besacc-VCA diploma AV-017 Working with a tower crane
- The diploma is personal and states the high-risk task for which the participant passed
- The diploma is 5 years valid and is registered online at http://besacc.epyc.eu/diploma

Mobile work equipment with their own drive may only be operated by workers who have received adequate training for the safe operation of this work equipment (Codex book IV, title 3)
Regarded as a safety function is any workstation where work equipment is used, where motor vehicles, cranes, overhead cranes, lifting devices of any kind are operated (Codex book I, title 4)
